NEW YORKER'S successful start in the Icon League
FC OneFootball is the first Icon League Champion!
THE ICON LEAGUE - This is a small-sided football league launched in September 2024, initiated by former national team player Toni Kroos and streamer Elias Nerlich. The teams played against each other in a five-a-side format (including goalkeeper) on an artificial pitch with a board. A total of 14 teams competed for the title in the debut season. The speciality: Each team was represented by prominent team heads. In addition to active professional footballers such as Antonio Rüdiger and David Alaba from Real Madrid, stars from other areas such as Finch and Ski Aggu also took part. In addition, all games were broadcast free of charge on Twitch.

And NEW YORKER was right in the middle of it all. As the new sponsor of FC OneFootball, we can look back with pride and enthusiasm on an unforgettable debut. The NEW YORKER logo adorned the backs of the players at the season finale on 15 December 2024, who were supported by musician Bausa and Alphonso Davies from FC Bayern Munich as heads. And as if it couldn't have happened any other way, FC OneFootball prevailed in the FINAL 8 and lifted the trophy in the end! The team beat DNA Athletics 4:2 in the final to become the first champions of the prestigious small-sided football league, which set new standards on the final day with over 11,000 enthusiastic fans in the hall and hundreds of thousands of viewers watching on stream.

NEW YORKER is proud to be part of this success story. We are looking forward to Season 2, which starts in March!
